Garden Marquee Sunflower Wedding – Gemma & Dave

Garden Marquee Sunflower Wedding – Gemma & Dave

Garden marquee wedding

Of all the types of weddings I’m lucky enough to get to shoot, I have to say that garden marquee weddings come my absolute top. I think it’s the fact that you can do WHATEVER you like, WHENEVER you like, and aren’t in anyway restricted by a venue with their own rules and regs (as long as you have understanding neighbours, of course!) makes for a truly unique and relaxed wedding.

Gemma & Dave’s marquee reception in Gemma’s family home garden, has to be one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to, I just flippin’ LOVED this day. From the gorgeous styling with about a thousand jars of wild flowers, to the delicious paella to the abundance of sunflowers which they grew specially, and the fact that live music played for the majority of the day, made this wedding seriously awesome.

Thank you so much for having me along, I had sooooo much fun! Thank you too to Dan who shot along side me, some of these photos are his.

New Forest Wedding at Rhinefield House – Lynsey & Richard

New Forest Wedding at Rhinefield House – Lynsey & Richard

Rhinefield House

I’ve been so lucky to book several weddings at the glorious Rhinefield House in The New Forest this year – it’s such a gorgeous house and one that holds very special memories for me (as a 14 year old bridesmaid to my Aunty many years ago).

On an absolutely beautifully hot July day, Richard & Lynsey tied the knot in a picturesque church just down the road from Rhinefield House in front of their nearest and dearest. Whilst their guests rode the vintage bus on to the hotel, Richard & Lynsey snuck off to the pub down the road, for a cheeky pint (of which I of course was there to capture!) before stopping off on the way to Rhinefield for some New Foresty photos.

A wedding day absolutely full to the brim of laughter – especially during their first dance (check out the photos!) and an utter pleasure to be part of. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Thank you to Emma too for second shooting this one with me, some of these photos are hers.

Penton Park Wedding – Lauren & Simon

Penton Park Wedding – Lauren & Simon

Penton ParkIt’s been a few years since I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Penton Park in Hampshire, so I was more than just a little bit excited for Lauren & Simon’s May wedding! We had a gloriously hot and sunny day which is always wonderful as guests can make the most of the beautiful gardens and enjoy the lawn games whilst sipping champagne.

Lauren & her girls got ready upstairs in the stunning old house, where it was lovely to see my make up buddy Frances Moore making the ladies all look gorgeous. Lauren had the most beautiful veil, which was so long and elegant and delicately light. Vows and promises were made in Church just next to Penton Park, before they exited to a huge shower of confetti and strolled back to the house for canapes.

I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a wedding before where so many people attended from so many far corner of the world, a real testament to such a lovely couple who have collected many friends from all over the world and have such warm and welcoming families. What a wonderful day! Thank you so much for having Dan and I along, we loved every minute. Mwah!

Rhinefield House Wedding – Amy & Kudzi

Rhinefield House Wedding – Amy & Kudzi

Rhinefield House

O Rhinefield House, how I love you! This venue is the most fabulous place to photograph – buried deep in The New Forest in Hampshire, Rhinefield House is surrounded by ancient trees and woodland. The gardens are simply beautiful; with tall blue gates and flowers with bright, bursts of colour.

Amy & Kudzi said their vows at St Saviours Church in The New Forest in front of their nearest and dearest, before leaving to a good old soaking of confetti. We stopped off on the way to Rhinefield for some photos, however because a storm was on the way it was extremely windy – not ideal for couple’s photos however the light was incredible! Luckily, the weather held off and we were able to capture the family photos outside in the lovely gardens at the hotel, before everyone went in for their dinner. Sometimes if the weather is a bit dodgy in the daytime, we are rewarded with a glorious sunset later on, and so happily we were able to pop out in the evening for some more photos, just as the sun dipped down behind the trees.

What a wonderful day, thank you to you both for making Holly and I feel so welcome. Thank you too to Holly who shot alongside me, some of these photos are hers.

Lainston House Wedding – Megan & Dan

Lainston House Wedding – Megan & Dan

Lainston HouseO the beautiful Lainston House in Hampshire! What an absolute treat to photograph it is, so pretty with so many unique areas to photograph couples in – like their mini summer house and old ruins; what a delight!

Megan & Dan began their wedding at St Nicholas’ Church in Eastleigh in front of their nearest and dearest before leaving to a barrage of confetti and exiting in a beautiful old vintage car. Once at Lainston House, guests were treated to canapes and drinks on the lawn in and among the daffodils whilst we took a wander round the grounds for their couple shots and eventually a few family photos in front the house. The evening celebrations were kicked off after some very funny and heartfelt speeches before the band got everyone up on their feet to dance the night away.

I hope the photos show what a truly wonderful and relaxed wedding Megan & Dan had, congratulations you gorgeous pair!

Thank you to Hannah Walker for second shooting with me on this one, some of these photos are hers.
