Dec 30, 2024 | Round up 2024
Hampshire & Dorset Wedding photographer
It’s that fabulous time of year again – when I get to pause, reflect, and express how truly thankful I am for the incredible couples, families, and friends who allowed me to capture their precious memories over the past 365 days. 2024 has been filled with utterly unforgettable moments, and I am deeply grateful for every single one of you who have put your faith and trust with me. This has been a year of hand painted wedding dresses, homemade cakes and, a particular highlight – watching Ani’s New Zealand family sing traditional Maori songs to everyone during the speeches. I also got to experience my first Hora with the bride and groom lifted on chairs in the air and all the fabulous madness of the dance floor.
This year, I had the honour of documenting 40+ weddings, and each photo has been a reminder of why I love this job and the incredible people I get to work with. As always, I’m incredibly thankful for the friendships that have blossomed with my couples and fellow wedding vendors and venues. Every single wedding is a collaboration, and I’m so grateful for the support and love shared by my talented photographer friends, wedding planners, florists, caterers, and everyone who works behind the scenes to make each day unforgettable. Particular shout out to Clock Barn, Rhinefield and Old Vicarage who have become my second homes and favourite places to shoot. I love being part of the team and count myself very lucky to have you all. One of the weddings previewed here was actually shot by my lovely friend Ange Ward-Brown, who thankfully stood in for me when I was really ill in hospital this year. Ange did an incredible job stepping in at the last moment to cover me, which reminds me again how grateful I am to have this wonderful community around me of lifelong friends who I know have my back and I theirs.
Below, I’ve picked a favorite from each wedding, plus a few extra gems (can you spot yourself in the mix?) Thank you for continuing to book me year after year – this job is my very favourite thing and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. More weddings, more love stories, please!!
A big shout-out to all my fellow wedding photographer friends and vendor buddies who work tirelessly to make each celebration perfect. Here’s to another year of collaboration, love, and memories. Cheers to you, and roll on 2025!
With love always,
Mia xx

Apr 15, 2019 | April 2019, Garden Marquee Wedding
O my, I have a corker in store for you tonight on the blog! Connie & Will’s garden marquee wedding was one of the best weddings I’ve been to…EVER! And I’ve been to quite a few as you can imagine 🙂 I love love love garden marquee weddings and this was absolutely no exception.
Connie & Will’s wedding reception was held in the garden grounds of Connie’s family farm home, complete with chickens, barns and tractor. Bunting covered the outside space along with many pots of spring flowers and even a Splat the Rat game and a coconut shy. The wedding was help in St Peter’s Church just down the road, so Connie & Will could make the perfect get away exit on the back of a tractor before arriving back home in time to be covered in confetti. Music was a big part of their wedding and their brass band played not only during the wedding service but in the courtyard too before guests were treated to a hearty chicken pie dinner in the marquee. The evening was topped off with an awesome ceilidh band which ALWAYS make for the most hilarious photos…
Amazing wedding guys, you totally smashed it!! Thank you so much for having Emma and I along, we loved every minute.

Dec 24, 2018 | July 2018, Penton Park
This July I was lucky enough to get to shoot at one of my favorite local venues – the wonderful Penton Park in Hampshire. As well as a beautiful wedding and events venue, it’s also a much loved and treasured family home, which is exactly why Penton Park feels to warm and welcoming every time I step through the door.
It was evident how much love and care Suzy & Orlando put into the decor and styling; everything was simple and elegant with soft pastel touches. The weather was perfect if a little windy, so guests were able to enjoy the gorgeous gardens and have their drinks and canapes outside, whilst we took advantage of the beautiful fields for their couple shots.
What a perfect day, thank you so much for being so utterly lovely to Dan and I. Some of these photos are his too.

Dec 20, 2018 | August 2018, The Mill at Gordleton
Goodness me, what a gorgeous new wedding venue The Mill at Gordleton is! Just on the edge of The New Forest, Goldleton Mill is a lovely counrty pub, serving delicious food and drinks. Although they’ve been holding small weddings for a while, they have only recently gone through a whole new refit, and have had a huge white marquee erected in the gorgeous gardens, so are now able to hold large weddings with lots of guests. The most wonderful thing about The Mill at Gordleton though, is that you can have your wedding outside in the gorgeous gardens; right next to the water. That’s exactly what Hannah & Tom did one sunny day in August – they had my favourite celebrate, David, conduct their wedding in front of their nearest and dearest, in the beautiful sunshine.
The Mill at Gordleton is fast becoming one of my favourite new venues – it ticks SO many boxes for me and the types of weddings I absolutely love to shoot. The gardens have kooky and quirky pieces of art hidden among the flowers and an abundance of wonderful little secret spots which Hannah & Tom had their photos taken in.
One of my favourite things about Hannah & Tom’s wedding, was the incredible decor they pulled off inside their marquee. The styling was breathtaking; I think I said ‘O my goodness, wow’ about a thousand times. The garden marquee was dripping in flowers – all pinks and mauves, with real wild berries and figs. The name places were flower inspired too, with beautiful handmade name places and of course, a naked wedding cake!
Such a gorgeous day, thank you so much for having me along to share it with you both, it’s been an absolute delight to get to know you both.
