The Mill at Gordleton Wedding – Hannah & Tom

The Mill at GordletonGoodness me, what a gorgeous new wedding venue The Mill at Gordleton is! Just on the edge of The New Forest, Goldleton Mill is a lovely counrty pub, serving delicious food and drinks. Although they’ve been holding small weddings for a while, they have only recently gone through a whole new refit, and have had a huge white marquee erected in the gorgeous gardens, so are now able to hold large weddings with lots of guests. The most wonderful thing about The Mill at Gordleton though, is that you can have your wedding outside in the gorgeous gardens; right next to the water. That’s exactly what Hannah & Tom did one sunny day in August – they had my favourite celebrate, David, conduct their wedding in front of their nearest and dearest, in the beautiful sunshine.

The Mill at Gordleton is fast becoming one of my favourite new venues – it ticks SO many boxes for me and the types of weddings I absolutely love to shoot. The gardens have kooky and quirky pieces of art hidden among the flowers and an abundance of wonderful little secret spots which Hannah & Tom had their photos taken in.

One of my favourite things about Hannah & Tom’s wedding, was the incredible decor they pulled off inside their marquee. The styling was breathtaking; I think I said ‘O my goodness, wow’ about a thousand times. The garden marquee was dripping in flowers – all pinks and mauves, with real wild berries and figs. The name places were flower inspired too, with beautiful handmade name places and of course, a naked wedding cake!

Such a gorgeous day, thank you so much for having me along to share it with you both, it’s been an absolute delight to get to know you both.

Garden Marquee Sunflower Wedding – Gemma & Dave

Garden marquee weddingOf all the types of weddings I’m lucky enough to get to shoot, I have to say that garden marquee weddings come my absolute top. I think it’s the fact that you can do WHATEVER you like, WHENEVER you like, and aren’t in anyway restricted by a venue with their own rules and regs (as long as you have understanding neighbours, of course!) makes for a truly unique and relaxed wedding.

Gemma & Dave’s marquee reception in Gemma’s family home garden, has to be one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to, I just flippin’ LOVED this day. From the gorgeous styling with about a thousand jars of wild flowers, to the delicious paella to the abundance of sunflowers which they grew specially, and the fact that live music played for the majority of the day, made this wedding seriously awesome.

Thank you so much for having me along, I had sooooo much fun! Thank you too to Dan who shot along side me, some of these photos are his.

A Beautiful Penton Park Wedding – Suzy & Orlando

Penton ParkThis July I was lucky enough to get to shoot at one of my favorite local venues – the wonderful Penton Park in Hampshire. As well as a beautiful wedding and events venue, it’s also a much loved and treasured family home, which is exactly why Penton Park feels to warm and welcoming every time I step through the door.

It was evident how much love and care Suzy & Orlando put into the decor and styling; everything was simple and elegant with soft pastel touches. The weather was perfect if a little windy, so guests were able to enjoy the gorgeous gardens and have their drinks and canapes outside, whilst we took advantage of the beautiful fields for their couple shots.

What a perfect day, thank you so much for being so utterly lovely to Dan and I. Some of these photos are his too.

New Forest Wedding at Rhinefield House – Lynsey & Richard

Rhinefield HouseI’ve been so lucky to book several weddings at the glorious Rhinefield House in The New Forest this year – it’s such a gorgeous house and one that holds very special memories for me (as a 14 year old bridesmaid to my Aunty many years ago).

On an absolutely beautifully hot July day, Richard & Lynsey tied the knot in a picturesque church just down the road from Rhinefield House in front of their nearest and dearest. Whilst their guests rode the vintage bus on to the hotel, Richard & Lynsey snuck off to the pub down the road, for a cheeky pint (of which I of course was there to capture!) before stopping off on the way to Rhinefield for some New Foresty photos.

A wedding day absolutely full to the brim of laughter – especially during their first dance (check out the photos!) and an utter pleasure to be part of. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Thank you to Emma too for second shooting this one with me, some of these photos are hers.

Penton Park Wedding – Lauren & Simon

Penton ParkIt’s been a few years since I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Penton Park in Hampshire, so I was more than just a little bit excited for Lauren & Simon’s May wedding! We had a gloriously hot and sunny day which is always wonderful as guests can make the most of the beautiful gardens and enjoy the lawn games whilst sipping champagne.

Lauren & her girls got ready upstairs in the stunning old house, where it was lovely to see my make up buddy Frances Moore making the ladies all look gorgeous. Lauren had the most beautiful veil, which was so long and elegant and delicately light. Vows and promises were made in Church just next to Penton Park, before they exited to a huge shower of confetti and strolled back to the house for canapes.

I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a wedding before where so many people attended from so many far corner of the world, a real testament to such a lovely couple who have collected many friends from all over the world and have such warm and welcoming families. What a wonderful day! Thank you so much for having Dan and I along, we loved every minute. Mwah!
