Sopley Mill wedding photography – Lorna & Sam

Sopley Mill

O my goodness, I don’t even know how to put into words just how FUN Sam & Lorna’s wedding at Sopley Mill was this summer, just.so.damn.fun. 99.9% of my photos of Lorna are of her cracking up laughing, which should tell you everything you need to know about how happy Sam makes her; it’s written all over her face.

Sam & Lorna have the most wonderful bunch or family and friends – everyone was extremely warm and friendly to Holly and I and we felt like part of the day. They wanted a party and that’s what they got – with pies for dinner (who doesn’t love a pie?!) and impromptu singing and dancing from guests. I’ve waffled enough, I’m going to let the photos do the talking on this one!

Thank you for everything, you gorgeous pair you!

Sopley Mill Wedding – Rachel & Chris

Sopley MillI LOVE a quirky venue to show off a couples’ uniqueness and personality, so I absolutely adore to shoot at Sopley Mill in Christchurch. This old, glorious mill has been beautifully renovated to hold weddings with a huge lawn out the front and multiple rooms to hold the different elements of the day.

Rachel & Chris’ wedding began with Rachel and her girls getting ready in the dressing room at the mill, whilst guests excitedly arrived and mingled downstairs. I’m always in such a privileged position as the bride walks down the aisle as I get to see the groom’s face first…and Chris’ face showed nothing but happiness and love as his gorgeous lady arrived. Ooh the tears! After the vows we all made our way down to the lawns to enjoy the sunshine and canapes whilst we wandered around the grounds taking photos.

The breakfast room was gorgeously and tastefully decorated with soft pink flowers with touches of gold and fairy lights which complimented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly. After dinner and some very heartfelt speeches we snuck off again for a few more couple shots behind the back of Sopley Mill as the light was softening, before making our way back to the party.

You guys are SO lovely, thank you so much for choosing me. Thank you to Leoni too who assisted me for this one, a few of these photos were taken by her.

Sopley Mill in Dorset Wedding – Keshia & Ash

Sopley Mill

Keshia and Ash chose the fabulous Sopley Mill in Dorset, which is another one of those wow venues we are lucky to have local to us. The newly renovated watermill has a great atmosphere and the grounds are along the bank of the Avon River, such a lovely and quirky countryside venue!

To start the day off Keshia got ready with her closest friends and family at the Harbour Hotel in Christchurch. Isn’t the detailing on her dress so lovely? The long train and the antique colour lace were so romantic, and complemented the bridesmaids soft pink dresses wonderfully.

The blue skies over Sopley Mill welcomed the guests and entertained the groomsmen (in very smart blue suits) while waiting for the bride’s arrival. Everyone was in such good spirits for the day. The ceremony was lovely, the little page boy and bridesmaid were totally adorable!

The sun was out for the couple and family shots as we walked around the gorgeous grounds, finding some quiet spots near the river and out in the meadow, making the most of the warm sunlight!

The reception room was dressed beautifully with bunting, flowers and little honey jars for the guests. Keshia and Ash enlisted family and friends in a Great British Bake off competition for the cakes, and there was a wonderful display of talents there from the family and friends! Good job guys!

As we were winding down for the day the guests were all winding up on the dance floor, I reckon they had a blast!

Thanks Keshia and Ash for having me join in on your happy wedding day xx

Here are a few of my favourite photos from their fabulous day – thank you to Leoni who assisted me; some of these photos are hers.
