Oooh Saturday at Pennyhill Park is Surrey was an absolute corker of a wedding! One of the things I love most about summer weddings is the potential to get married outside at some venues, so I was delighted when Helen & Yorrick told me they hoped to get married in the great outdoors. The Pavilion at Pennyhill Park is just gorgeous, and made even more so when absolutely covered in summer flowers. And what a view!
Helen began the day in fabulously full and multi layered white wedding dress before changing into a shorter red dress which is not only the traditional Vietnamese wedding dress colour but also easier to dance in! Yorrick & Helen spent the afternoon chatting to friends and family and taking photos in the pretty gardens before treating their guests to a 4 course meal and several lovely speeches. After her & Yorrick’s first dance, Helen and her dance troop surprised everyone with a dance routine which had everyone cheering and having the best time. What a fantastic day!
It’s been so lovely to meet you both, thank you so much for having me along (and including me in the delicious dinner!) Wishing you so much love and happiness for the future, here are you highlights below.
I would love to shoot at this beautiful venue again so if anyone reading this is also getting married at Pennyhill Park and would like to get in touch, please do!
Jun 17, 2019 | June 2019, Penton Park
Woo-hoo! Congratulations lovely Anna & Alex who had the most wonderful wedding Saturday at Penton Park in Hampshire. I absolutely adore Penton Park and the team who work there so was delighted when Anna and Alex got in touch last year and asked if I was free to capture their day.
Although they weren’t able to have their wedding ceremony outside like they’d planned due to the rain, the inside of the house is so flippin’ beautiful that no one minded one bit. Then, as if by magic, after their ceremony the sun appeared and everyone was able to enjoy the canapes and drinks out on the lawn in front of the gorgeous house. Anna & Alex had guests from every corner of the Earth attend, a true testament of how lovely they are and how many close friends they’re amassed over the years.
Instead of a traditional sit down meal, Anna & Alex selected to have ‘bowl food’ – where every guest is given 3 different smallish bowls of food such a salmon and pasta or chicken and bacon. It encouraged everyone to mingle and chat more as they weren’t stuck on one seat during dinner; such a lovely idea which I’ll be mentioning to future clients looking for something a little different at meal time. After some hilarious speeches inside the main hallway, the evening party kicked off when the cake of cheese was cut, and everyone danced away as the sun went down.
What an absolutely wonderful day, thank you so much for having me along! It was a total pleasure.

Jun 10, 2019 | June 2019, The Domus
It’s been a while since I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Domus in Beaulieu, so I was delighted when Vicki & Simon booked me to capture their day. The Domus is an extremely special and unique wedding venue; an 800 year old Medieval building steeped in tapestries and surrounded in beautiful, original architecture. Vicki & Simon fell in love with it when they saw it, especially as Vicki studied Medieval Studies at University so they knew the venue would be perfect for them!
In an exceptionally cute moment, Vicki & Simon’s absolute poppet of a daughter walked down the aisle holding both her Nanna’s hands, greeting her Dad with a look of total glee. The bridesmaids wore long bluey green dresses with bouquets of soft peaches and greens and with flowers in their hair which looked gorgeous for an early summer wedding.
The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind if it was pouring with rain, intensely sunny, gale force winds or dramatic and cloudy, so we spent most of the afternoon ping ponging back and forth inside and out, reacting to the sky. When they were able, guests wandered around the gorgeous gardens, enjoying a drink or two, before cosying down for dinner back in the Domus, surrounded by candle light. Fabulously funny speeches followed suit, during which we all learned about the hilarious antics of Simon’s stag do (or lack there of), before Vicki & Simon cut into their enormous cake made entirely of CHEESE (a couple after my own heart).
Thank you both for such a wonderful day, you guys made it so much fun. Sending you so much love, here are some highlights <3

Jun 3, 2018 | June 2019, Rownhams House
Rownhams House in Southampton makes for the perfect quirky wedding venue; with it’s lovely red brick tower, huge gardens and the option to get married outdoors. And there are none so quirky as lovely George who donned her wings, rainbow petticoat and awesome fairy shoes!! I must have shot close to 1000 weddings over the years, and I can safely say having a fairy as a bride was a first… how amazing does she look! George literally made EVERYTHING for her and Jonathan’s wedding – from the bouquets to the wings to the favours…you name it, she probably made it.
As George and Jonathan have a gorgeous little girl, children were a huge part of this wedding, so they kept them thoroughly entertained with a giant inflatable bouncy slide (although I have a string suspicion the slide was as much for the grown up as the children!)
This wedding was SO much for, thank you so much for having me along guys! Here are your previews.
