Feb 8, 2018 | Round up 2017
O my – I don’t even know where to begin with how brilliant 2017 was for me; so many wonderful clients, many whom I’m lucky enough to now call friends. So many beautiful venues, many of which I’m lucky enough to now be recommended at, and barely any rain! Hallelujah!
Thank you so much to Clare who shot along side me most of the year, I’ll miss you more than you’ll know. Dan & Leoni too, thank you for making this year so much fun to go to work.
Thank you to my photography Sync girls, who make every day better and like chatting at the water cooler a virtual reality.
But mainly thank you to my clients, who have trusted me with one of the best days’ of their lives, I’ll never stop being humbled by this.
2018…let’s do this!!
Here are a few of my favourites from throughout the year <3

When Emily & Alex asked me to capture their special day at Ashley Wood Farm in Salisbury I was over the moon! It is SUCH a wonderful venue, definitely one of my favourites in Hampshire and I suspect this is where I would choose to get married now if Mr Hoops and I were to do it all over again! There is something delightful about those beautiful duck egg blue doors, I just love them! At Ashley Wood Farm you also get to visit a cornfield, which is just up on the hill, it makes for fabulous couples photography well, honestly, it is just perfect.
There were so many special details in Emily & Alex’s wedding that really made it unique to them (and a few ideas to borrow for your own plans too!). One of the things I loved most about this wedding were the table centre displays. Instead of the traditional flowers as a feature, Alex & Emily had home made cakes, which looked (and smelled!) delicious! Once it was time for the guests to have dessert a designated table person cut the cake for everyone else and shared it amongst the group. What a great idea, and such a fun way to keep the tables talking and enjoying their part in the wedding!
All the little details were so colourful and made this wedding so much fun! From the brightly coloured mis-matched socks of the groomsmen, to the brides amazing red shoes, the blues and oranges in amongst the greenery of the bridal party bouquets, down to the beading on the bridesmaids dresses. Emily’s gown was perfect for her, with lovely lace detailing and pockets! Who wouldn’t love a dress with pockets! The fun didn’t stop there! There were pinwheels on the tables, bicycle table plans, a giant tasseled balloon and they even served the BBQ from the back of a converted tractor, which would be absolutely perfect for a farm wedding.
It was such a pleasure to photograph this brilliant day, thank you for having Dan and I along! A big thanks to Dan as always, some of these photos are his.
