The Mill at Gordleton Wedding – Hannah & Tom

The Mill at Gordleton Wedding – Hannah & Tom

The Mill at Gordleton

Goodness me, what a gorgeous new wedding venue The Mill at Gordleton is! Just on the edge of The New Forest, Goldleton Mill is a lovely counrty pub, serving delicious food and drinks. Although they’ve been holding small weddings for a while, they have only recently gone through a whole new refit, and have had a huge white marquee erected in the gorgeous gardens, so are now able to hold large weddings with lots of guests. The most wonderful thing about The Mill at Gordleton though, is that you can have your wedding outside in the gorgeous gardens; right next to the water. That’s exactly what Hannah & Tom did one sunny day in August – they had my favourite celebrate, David, conduct their wedding in front of their nearest and dearest, in the beautiful sunshine.

The Mill at Gordleton is fast becoming one of my favourite new venues – it ticks SO many boxes for me and the types of weddings I absolutely love to shoot. The gardens have kooky and quirky pieces of art hidden among the flowers and an abundance of wonderful little secret spots which Hannah & Tom had their photos taken in.

One of my favourite things about Hannah & Tom’s wedding, was the incredible decor they pulled off inside their marquee. The styling was breathtaking; I think I said ‘O my goodness, wow’ about a thousand times. The garden marquee was dripping in flowers – all pinks and mauves, with real wild berries and figs. The name places were flower inspired too, with beautiful handmade name places and of course, a naked wedding cake!

Such a gorgeous day, thank you so much for having me along to share it with you both, it’s been an absolute delight to get to know you both.

Hope Farm Wedding in Dorset – Sarah & Alex

Hope Farm Wedding in Dorset – Sarah & Alex

Hope Farm in Dorset

This wedding was AMAZING!! It’s rare I get to shoot at a new venue these days because so many of my referrals come from venues themselves, so I was very excited when Sarah & Alex booked me to photograph their wedding at Hope Farm in Dorset. I won’t mention the weather (you can probably see why…) but it didn’t matter AT ALL anyway because this wedding was a total blast!

The styling was gorgeous – golds and wild green foliage – with a fabulous floral arch under which they said their vows. The day was all about fantastic food, dancing, O and a Jager Bomb train, O yes!

A total feast for the eyes from start to finish, thank you so much for having me along!

Penton Park Wedding – Lauren & Simon

Penton Park Wedding – Lauren & Simon

Penton ParkIt’s been a few years since I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Penton Park in Hampshire, so I was more than just a little bit excited for Lauren & Simon’s May wedding! We had a gloriously hot and sunny day which is always wonderful as guests can make the most of the beautiful gardens and enjoy the lawn games whilst sipping champagne.

Lauren & her girls got ready upstairs in the stunning old house, where it was lovely to see my make up buddy Frances Moore making the ladies all look gorgeous. Lauren had the most beautiful veil, which was so long and elegant and delicately light. Vows and promises were made in Church just next to Penton Park, before they exited to a huge shower of confetti and strolled back to the house for canapes.

I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a wedding before where so many people attended from so many far corner of the world, a real testament to such a lovely couple who have collected many friends from all over the world and have such warm and welcoming families. What a wonderful day! Thank you so much for having Dan and I along, we loved every minute. Mwah!

The Old Vicarage Wedding – Sophie & Tom

The Old Vicarage Wedding – Sophie & Tom

The Old VicarageSophie & Tom’s beautiful wedding at The Old Vicarage! I absolutely adore this venue, especially since couples have been able to get married outside in the garden, and I am extremely lucky to be one of their recommended photographers. One of the best things about The Old Vicarage is that even if it rains on your wedding day, then all is not lost because the ceremony room inside is just as gorgeous, with a beautiful stags head on the wall. We were lucky though and the sun shone for us all day.

Sophie arrived in style in an awesome little Beetle car before walking down the aisle behind their very cute and excited little girl. After their vows they were greeted with a burst of confetti from their family and friends before everyone enjoyed charcuteries and drinks on the lawn. Bluebells were late this year so we still had a blanket at our feet for their couple shots which added a pop of colour to their photos.

Everything about this wedding was just gorgeous – gorgeous venue, gorgeous weather and an absolutely gorgeous couple. Thank you so much for choosing me to be a tiny part of your day!

Thank you too to Holly who second shot with me, some of these photos are hers.

Old Vicarage wedding – Natalie & Adam

The Old VicarageO how I love The Old Vicarage in Christchurch – it’s the most beautiful, homely and versatile wedding venue with a wonderful outside space for a wedding ceremony right amongst the flowers. I love that with this venue, if you do find yourself with a rainy day, the inside is just as gorgeous and light and airy, so – unlike some wedding venues – it’s really not the end of the world if it rains and you have to be inside. Luckily we didn’t have to worry about that with Natalie & Adam’s wedding this September as we were blessed with glorious sunshine all day!

I was delighted when Natalie & Adam asked me to capture their special day; I knew straight away they would be such a lovely couple to photograph, plus they have a gorgeous little baba George, who always gives me the best smiles 🙂 George arrived in absolute style in an awesome cart which was rolled down the aisle – personalised number plate to boot! What a dude.

Natalie & Adam’s wedding was beautifully colourful, with splashes of rainbow inspired flowers all over the place, which complimented the bridesmaids floral and bird dresses perfectly. Everything about this day was just so fun and joyful, we loved every minute and laughed along with the happy couple all day.

Thank you for having Leoni and I along, we had a blast.

I’ve recently been lucky enough to become a recommended supplier at The Old Vicarage, so if you’d like to chat to me about photographing your wedding day, please contact me here.
