The Old Vicarage in Dorset – Lauren & Alex

The Old Vicarage in Dorset Wedding

Lauren & Alex’s wedding at The Old Vicarage in Dorset was one of those weddings where I just wished I’d been a guest! Everything was just so damned cool AND beautiful, which is an unusual and winning combination in my eyes. The bride wore a blue, yes BLUE wedding dress, with delicate pink flowers sewn in and possibly the sparkliest pair of heals I’ve ever seen.

Lauren and her gals got ready at The Kings Arms Hotel in Christchurch before arriving in style to The Old Vicarage in some cool vintage cars, generously loaned by some friends. Although it rained most of the day, this gorgeous pair didn’t let it dampen their spirits, even when it meant they couldn’t get married outside like they’d hoped. The best thing about The Old Vicarage is that, even if you are unlucky with the weather, the ceremony room with it’s huge stag head it just as wonderful as the great outdoors, so nothing was really lost. And with Willow & Wisps‘ glorious fauna, it looked as if the outside was inside anyway.

After the ceremony the rain suddenly stopped so we ran outside like crazy people to take some couples shots and the family photos, enjoying the lush and colourful gardens. A delicious BBQ and speeches followed, before the evening party kicked off with a hilarious dancing game, which made for some absolutely awesome photos!

Thank you so much lovelies, I had a blast!! Thank you for having Holly and I along – some of these photos are hers.

Christchurch Harbour Hotel – Kat & Jonathan

Christchurch Harbour HotelKat & Jonathan got married on a gloriously hot day this May at Christchurch Harbour Hotel in Dorset. As the sun shone down and guests excitedly began to arrive, Kat got ready in one of the hotel rooms with her lovely Mum and best girls.

The ceremony took place in front of large windows and sea views, before guests milled about and chatted in the pretty gardens. Everyone took in the holiday like atmosphere; the weather and the views made everyone – me included – feel like they were on holiday in Spain, which was, as you can imagine, rather glorious. After fun and frolics on the lawns, everyone went back indoors to a delicious 3 course meal (thanks for including me guys!). A jam packed day of laughter and fun, thank you so much for having me along, I absolutely loved it.

The Old Vicarage Wedding – Sophie & Tom

The Old Vicarage Wedding – Sophie & Tom

The Old VicarageSophie & Tom’s beautiful wedding at The Old Vicarage! I absolutely adore this venue, especially since couples have been able to get married outside in the garden, and I am extremely lucky to be one of their recommended photographers. One of the best things about The Old Vicarage is that even if it rains on your wedding day, then all is not lost because the ceremony room inside is just as gorgeous, with a beautiful stags head on the wall. We were lucky though and the sun shone for us all day.

Sophie arrived in style in an awesome little Beetle car before walking down the aisle behind their very cute and excited little girl. After their vows they were greeted with a burst of confetti from their family and friends before everyone enjoyed charcuteries and drinks on the lawn. Bluebells were late this year so we still had a blanket at our feet for their couple shots which added a pop of colour to their photos.

Everything about this wedding was just gorgeous – gorgeous venue, gorgeous weather and an absolutely gorgeous couple. Thank you so much for choosing me to be a tiny part of your day!

Thank you too to Holly who second shot with me, some of these photos are hers.

Old Vicarage wedding – Natalie & Adam

The Old VicarageO how I love The Old Vicarage in Christchurch – it’s the most beautiful, homely and versatile wedding venue with a wonderful outside space for a wedding ceremony right amongst the flowers. I love that with this venue, if you do find yourself with a rainy day, the inside is just as gorgeous and light and airy, so – unlike some wedding venues – it’s really not the end of the world if it rains and you have to be inside. Luckily we didn’t have to worry about that with Natalie & Adam’s wedding this September as we were blessed with glorious sunshine all day!

I was delighted when Natalie & Adam asked me to capture their special day; I knew straight away they would be such a lovely couple to photograph, plus they have a gorgeous little baba George, who always gives me the best smiles 🙂 George arrived in absolute style in an awesome cart which was rolled down the aisle – personalised number plate to boot! What a dude.

Natalie & Adam’s wedding was beautifully colourful, with splashes of rainbow inspired flowers all over the place, which complimented the bridesmaids floral and bird dresses perfectly. Everything about this day was just so fun and joyful, we loved every minute and laughed along with the happy couple all day.

Thank you for having Leoni and I along, we had a blast.
