Cissbury Wedding – Lauren & Ben
One of the things I love the most about my job, is shooting at a venue for the very first time and discovering all the exciting little nooks and crannies which make for beautiful photos! I was one happy photographer when I saw this gorgeous gem of a greenhouse hiding in the huge, beautiful gardens at Cissbury in West Sussex. The fantastic rustic potting shed and all that light just made for the most wonderful photographs.
Lauren and Ben’s ceremony was held in the gorgeous and rustic barns behind the main house at Cissbury. The couples guests and family mingled in the sunshine before enjoying their meal in the second barn which was decorated with huge paper balls in between the rafters, a stunning use of the space. The wedding cake was also fantastic – one side was flowers and lace and the other side had a different activity the couple enjoyed for each tier! What a great idea!
How beautiful is Laurens lace and satin gown? And lets talk about the bridesmaids midnight and silver dresses too – they all looked so elegant and beautiful! One of the things I absolutely loved the most about this wedding was the fact that, rather than going with tradition, Lauren & Ben walked down the aisle together. How cool are they?! The moment when Lauren popped around the corner to where Ben was waiting was a unique moment I imagine neither of them will forget!
The walled gardens and huge barn doors provided such a beautiful backdrop to their day. For the couples photos I explored different patches of garden and a wonderful glen of woods and orchard, but that old greenhouse stole the show!
